This year, the National Agricultural Fair (FNA 21), the most important agricultural fair of Portugal was held during the second week of June, from 9th to 13th at Santarém, capital of the agricultural province of Ribatejo. LIFE GAIA Sense project partner CONFAGRI, participated with a stand at a central point into the fair venue and disseminated LIFE GAIA Sense project through the distribution of project’s leaflets and by answering relevant to the project questions of the attendees.
The event took place at National Center for Agricultural Exhibitions and Markets (CNEMA) and various organizations of the agricultural sector such as associations, agricultural cooperatives, institutions and representatives of associations with agricultural equipment were among the exhibitors. The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, was present, as well as the Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Economy. In addition to sustainability and environmental protection sessions, attendees had the opportunity to visit the Machinery exhibition and innovative equipment and technological innovations. In order to comply with the safety rules outlined by the General Directorate of Health, for the first time, the FNA realized both virtually and in person. Through the virtual format visitors were virtually toured into the venue and discovered the exhibitors that were present at this year’s edition. Virtual attendees had also the opportunity to view and interact in initiatives with diverse themes presented by experts in the sector, in webinars and in presentations or masterclasses.
